Up to 50 competitors from all over the Pacific Northwest and from further will gather in Athena July 9.  They have a great time together.  What is amazing is that professional athletes, who have tons of experience (and trophies to go along with it) may compete right next to someone who has no experience at all!  They still have fun.

There are men’s and women’s events, all sanctioned by SAAA (that’s Scottish American Athletic Association.)  They help supply specialized equipment (like cabers) and standardize measurements and weights……oh well, it’s still fun.
